Are you thinking of replacing your entire website with ClickFunnels?
Recently, a lot of people have been doing this.
Why? Because for some, it makes a ton of sense to use ClickFunnels instead of a website!
And for others, replacing your website with ClickFunnels is a horrible idea…
This article will help simplify your question and determine what you should do!
I have a lot of experience with both of these, and there are a few key distinctions you need to know about.
Let’s get right into it!
ClickFunnels vs Websites: What’s The Difference Anyways?
ClickFunnels and Websites may seem similar at face value, but there’s a few key distinctions between the platforms.
And to be up front, I have a website and ClickFunnels subscription currently.
Here’s why I use both.
ClickFunnels can be used to create websites, but it’s mainly meant for sales funnels and sales pages!
So instead of building fully functional and customizable websites, you can build pages and funnels that look super professional. They look excellent in comparison to what you can create with a site!
If you have no plans of blogging or utilizing Search Engine Optimization, you can use ClickFunnels pretty effectively.
For anybody looking to optimize their site for search engines, you definitely need a website!
Since SEO is my primary source of traffic, I couldn’t use just ClickFunnels.
I wouldn’t stand a chance with it.
But using the convenient WordPress plugin for ClickFunnels, you can integrate the two softwares seamlessly!
There are two main types of traffic and that will help you decide whether or not you should be using a website with ClickFunnels, or just one of them.
Inbound Traffic is when people come to your website coming through search engines! Basically somebody types a query on Google, finds your site, and clicks. When you optimize your website to rank higher than your competitors, you can be found organically around the clock!
Outbound traffic is when you are reaching out to people to have them come to your website. This includes everything from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Quora, Reddit, Google PPC!
WordPress and inbound traffic work well together, while ClickFunnels and outbound traffic go hand in hand!
A website helps businesses generate consistent visitors by using organic traffic. Since it’s search traffic is so highly targeted, this should be a staple in any long term business!
So if you plan on using SEO for traffic, you will definitely want a website. I recommend Bluehost for your hosting as a beginner!
That’s the main difference between ClickFunnels and Websites – one is meant to build funnels and pages, while the other is meant to be fully customizable and easier to rank on Google with.
Do You Need a Website to Use ClickFunnels?
You don’t need a website to use ClickFunnels which is awesome news.
Since ClickFunnels is self hosted, you don’t need to purchase web hosting! Once you have an active ClickFunnels subscription, you are good to go.

Buying a domain makes sense though, since that will give everything a more professional feel!
To keep it short and sweet, you don’t need a website to use ClickFunnels. It will enhance everything, but it’s by no means an essential!
So, Can ClickFunnels Replace A Website?
ClickFunnels can indeed replace a website. It is more expensive but if you plan on using social traffic or paid advertising, it makes a lot more sense!

If you plan on utilizing search engines for traffic, you’ll want to get a WordPress website.
Since WordPress is optimized like crazy for Google and other search engines, you’ll be at a massive disadvantage if you aren’t using it!
If you are starting out online, ClickFunnels is an awesome spot to start. Seriously, it’s not overcomplicated for beginners and you won’t need to pay somebody to build what you want!
But if you already have a successful business and you want to build your brand more, then I’d recommend starting a WordPress site as well.
